“Microsoft is extremely pleased to be involved in the Shireland Teaching School Alliance as we absolutely understand the importance of teaching schools in terms of school improvement but also in terms of the strategic value that technology can play in improvement processes.
Shireland has acted as one of our partner schools for some time and we have supported the school in its use of technology for school improvement. Its past successes in supporting other schools in successfully embedding technology through programmes such as “Shape the Future” and previously the national “Home Access” programme have acted as examples of best practice to encourage other schools across the UK.
We are excited by the prospect of supporting Shireland in their aim to support others by using technology to support change. The school has for many years championed the use of a Learning Gateway for school leadership and management and its recent work on the integration of coding into the curriculum is yet another innovative solution that could benefit many.
We wish the alliance all the best in their future work.”
